Married to Katy. Brother of Linda.

My early adventures on stage were at primary school in Christmas nativities as angels and shepherds before I eventually made the grade as Joseph; I can also remember writing a Christmas play with my sister which we inflicted on our parents. My father had done the same with his brothers and sister and as we got older we were often taken, when on holiday, to see Am Dram productions.

After A Levels I joined a local church drama group, initially to help backstage, but I was quickly persuaded to try and perform. I was fortunate in my 20 years with St James Players in New Malden to participate in more than 60 productions (parts ranging from a badly-behaved pantomime cow, to a Chippendale (we were called Chesterfields as we had a bit more padding!), a very Ugly Sister, George VI and (favourite part) Inspector Goole; as well as helping with sets, lights, sound, publicity etc. I then took a ‘rest’ for many years for personal reasons but was delighted to revisit my past and join ODS in 2017, having moved with Katy to Ockley the previous year, and what fun it’s been. I especially love performing comedy, hopefully bringing some fun and laughter to audiences, and hope to do so for as long as I can still remember most of my lines!
